INDIA VS. THAILAND

Having been in Thailand for over 10 days now I’ve given myself enough time to reflect on my cultural experience.

I much prefer India. It’s cheaper, with a vast amount of tasty tasty food to choose from, amazing Indian sunsets and my bungalow huts.

The parts of Thailand that we have visited have been so touristy and developed. I mean don’t get me wrong there were parts of India that were touristy and developed but it kind of worked whereas here it’s expensive and full of pissed up English holiday makers.

The backdrops in Krabi and Koh Phi Phi were so dramatic, stunning and dwarfed anything next to it compared to the soft rolling luxious green hills of India.

Each beach has it’s own personality. This changes with the beach skyline, size, restaurants/chill out areas and the dogs. I haven’t been on a beach where there isn’t a dog yet. There’s always a minimum of 3 roaming around always looking like they are on a serious mission. Waltzing into the restaurants, sleeping under the tables to escape the sun. Barking, running, playing, humping, fighting. I’ve seen it all.

I have enjoyed finding chill out bars and going on a few boat trips to different islands and swimming in some beautiful turquoise coloured sea but something is pulling me out of Thailand. But before I leave I’m going to visit Chiang Mai and Pai as my cousin and her friends have described it to me as the Thai version of Hampi. It’s right up my street apparently.

Yes please!
